How to get to Filitheyo Island Resort

The sole means of reaching Filitheyo Island Resort is by seaplane. The 35-minute seaplane journey from Malé International Airport offers guests a stunning introduction to their holiday, providing a panoramic view of the azure lagoons and meandering atolls.

Your dedicated resort guide will help you and your belongings into a vehicle for a short drive to the seaplane terminal, located just a few minutes away. Upon arrival, you can proceed with the check-in process and await your seaplane flight. During this time, you can take in the close-up views of the seaplanes or relax in the comfort of the dedicated lounge.

Filitheyo Island Resort relies on seaplanes operated by Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) for guest transfers. TMA boasts the largest seaplane fleet in the Maldives and has earned a reputation for reliability.

Once aboard the seaplane, expect a flight duration of approximately 35 minutes. However, the transfer may be slightly prolonged if the plane makes stops to drop off guests at other resorts in the along the way.

Seaplanes land on the water near Filitheyo, where guests disembark onto a floating seaplane platform. From there, a local ferry boat known as a dhoni transports guests to the island, a journey of about 10 minutes. Throughout this process, resort staff are available to assist guests and handle luggage.
