How to get to You & Me Maldives

To access You & Me Maldives from Malé airport, the primary transportation option is a picturesque 45-minute seaplane flight. However, there is an alternative option available for those arriving at Malé airport after 3:30pm. This alternative entails a 35-minute domestic transfer to the nearby Ifuru island airport, followed by a 20-minute speedboat ride.

It's worth noting that there are no boat-only transfers to You & Me Maldives Resort due to the considerable distance from Malé (181km or 112 miles).

Your Arrival at Malé Airport (MLE)

Upon arrival at Malé airport (Velana International) in the Maldives, after completing security procedures and exiting into the arrivals hall, you'll receive a warm welcome from a resort guide holding a wooden sign displaying the resort name. They'll offer guidance to the designated location for your onward transfer to You & Me Maldives and can also assist with your luggage.

The method of onward transfer will depend on what time of day you arrive at Malé airport:

Option 1 - Seaplane to You & Me Maldives

Upon your arrival, a resort guide will assist you and your belongings to a vehicle destined for the nearby seaplane terminal. Once at the terminal, you can complete the check-in process and await your seaplane flight. During this time, you can enjoy up-close views of the seaplanes or relax in our complimentary lounge with refreshments.

Once aboard the seaplane, the estimated flight duration is approximately 45 minutes. However, if the plane makes stops to drop off guests at other resorts during the journey, the overall transfer time may be slightly extended.

Seaplanes make a water landing near You & Me Maldives. Upon arrival, you'll disembark onto the arrivals jetty and have the opportunity to walk to the island. The resort staff will be readily available to assist guests and ensure the seamless handling of luggage.

Option 2 - Domestic Transfer to You & Me Maldives

Since seaplanes exclusively operate during daylight hours, you may find yourself with no alternative but to opt for a domestic flight to reach your destination.

Ifuru Island stands as the nearest airport to You & Me Maldives. The preferred domestic carrier for this route is Maldivian, the leading domestic airline in the country. Maldivian operates regular flights utilizing air-conditioned ATR-72 and ATR-42 turboprop aircraft, as well as Dash 8-200 and Dash 8-300 aircraft, renowned for their robust design, advanced safety features, and dependable performance.

This direct flight typically lasts around 35 minutes. Upon arrival at the local airport island, guests proceed to embark on a speedboat for a brief 20-minute journey to their final destination - You & Me Maldives.

Usually, we advise choosing a seaplane transfer when traveling to You & Me Maldives.

Seaplanes are celebrated in the Maldives for providing awe-inspiring views owing to their low-altitude flights. It's an experience truly unlike any other and definitely worth experiencing at least once.

Nevertheless, there are distinct advantages to opting for a domestic transfer that may better suit your preferences. You might consider a domestic transfer if any of the following circumstances apply to your situation, but please note that the resort are unable to guarantee this option due to limited flights per day

• International flights arriving in the Maldives after 3:30pm Malé time (seaplanes only fly during daylight).
• You don't want to go on a seaplane, or you have limited mobility which would make it difficult.
• You have a significant amount of luggage
