To access Cora Cora Maldives from Malé airport, you have two transfer options. The first option is a picturesque 45-minute seaplane flight, while the second involves a 35-minute domestic transfer to a nearby airport, followed by a 20-minute speedboat ride.

Usually, we suggest the seaplane option as the preferred choice.

It's essential to note that there are no boat-only transfers to Cora Cora Maldives due to the substantial distance from Malé (178km or 110 miles).

Is a seaplane or domestic transfer better?

Typically, we recommend opting for a seaplane transfer when traveling to Cora Cora Maldives.

Seaplanes are renowned in the Maldives for offering breath-taking views due to their low flying altitude. The experience is genuinely exceptional and is something worth trying at least once.

However, there are specific benefits to choosing a domestic transfer that may align better with your preferences. Consider a domestic transfer if any of the following conditions apply to your situation:

  • International flights arriving in the Maldives after 3pm Malé time (seaplanes only fly during daylight).
  • You don't want to go on a seaplane, or you have limited mobility which would make it difficult.
  • A cheaper transfer option is preferred or you have a significant amount of luggage
