How to get to Como Maalifushi

The only means of reaching COMO Maalifushi is by seaplane. The 60-minute journey from Malé International Airport offers guests a breath-taking introduction to their holiday, showcasing panoramic views of the azure lagoons and meandering atolls.

COMO Maalifushi holds the distinction of being the inaugural and sole resort to open in the pristine Thaa Atoll, situated in the southern expanse of the archipelago.

Due to the considerable distance from Malé (210km or 130 miles), there are no boat-only transfers to Maalifushi.

Upon arrival at Malé airport (Velana International) in the Maldives, after clearing security and entering the arrivals hall, a resort guide will warmly welcome you. They'll be holding a wooden sign with the resort's name, making them easy to spot. This dedicated guide will help direct you to your next transfer point and offer assistance with your luggage as required.

Seaplane to COMO Maalifushi

Your resort guide will help you and your luggage into a vehicle for a short drive to the seaplane terminal, just minutes away. Once there, you can check in and await your seaplane flight. Guests are welcome to use the Manta Air VIP lounge with Wi-Fi, satellite television, shower facilities, snacks and drinks. You can enjoy close-up views of the seaplanes.

COMO Maalifushi uses Manta Air seaplanes for transfers to the resort. These aircraft are among the newest in the Maldives and adhere to a pre-determined schedule to minimize waiting time for guests.

Once you're aboard the seaplane, the flight is scheduled to last around 60 minutes. However, the transfer might take a bit longer if the plane needs to make stops to drop off guests at other resorts during the journey.

Seaplanes gently touch down near Maalifushi, where you'll disembark onto a floating platform and transfer to a boat for a short journey to the island's shores. Resort staff will be on hand to assist guests and ensure the seamless handling of luggage.
