Ayada Maldives can be reached via a 55-75 minute domestic flight transfer from Malé airport (Velana International), followed by a 25-50 minute speedboat ride to the resort. The timings depend on which airport the flight is scheduled to land at.

Due to the considerable distance from Malé (435km or 270 miles), there are no boat-only transfers available to Ayada Maldives.

Your Arrival at Malé Airport (MLE)

Upon your arrival at Malé airport (Velana International) in the Maldives and after clearing security to enter the arrivals hall, you will be warmly greeted by a resort guide holding a wooden sign bearing the name "Ayada Maldives." They will be ready to assist you in directing you to the designated area for your domestic transfer to the resort and can offer assistance with your luggage as needed.

Domestic Transfer to Ayada Maldives

Your guide will accompany you to a cozy domestic airport lounge. Here, you can unwind and indulge in complimentary refreshments while awaiting your domestic flight to the resort's nearby Domestic Airport. Enjoy the convenience of complimentary Wi-Fi and a selection of food and beverages during your wait.

The nearest domestic airport to Ayada Maldives is Maavarulu Airport (RUL) although on occasion guests may fly to Kaadedhoo Airport ( KDM) on the West of the atoll. Maldivian, the primary domestic carrier in the country, operates regular flights to these destinations. Their fleet includes air-conditioned ATR-72 and ATR42 turboprop aircraft, as well as Dash 8-200 and Dash 8-300 aircraft, known for their sturdy design, advanced safety features, and consistent performance.

The flight to Maavarulu Airport typically lasts approximately 75 minutes, followed by a 25-minute speedboat journey to the resort. Alternatively, if you land at Kaadedhoo Airport, the journey takes about 55 minutes and is followed by a 50-minute speedboat ride to reach your destination at Ayada Maldives.

Do I have to travel by domestic transfer?

Domestic transfers are the only transfer method Ayada Maldives use. Due to the considerable distance between Malé and the Gaafu Atoll, seaplanes do not fly to the resort.

However, there are advantages to a domestic transfer:
