How to get to Anantara Kihavah Villas

To reach Anatara Kihavah Villas from Malé airport, there is one main transfer option. This involves a picturesque 35-minute seaplane flight. While there is a second option, this is reserved for those landing at Malé airport after 3:30pm and includes a domestic transfer to a nearby airport followed by a speedboat ride.

Please note that boat-only transfers to Anantara Kihavah are unavailable due to the considerable distance from Malé.

Your Arrival at Malé Airport (MLE)

They will assist in directing you precisely to your onward transfer point to Anantara Kihavah and provide support with luggage as needed.

Option 1 - Seaplane to Anantara Kihavah Villas

Your resort guide will assist you and your belongings into a vehicle for transportation to the seaplane terminal, which is only a few minutes' drive away. Upon reaching the terminal, you can complete the check-in process and await your seaplane flight. Visitors of Kihavah have the privilege of accessing the VIP Seaplane Lounge, where complimentary drinks and light refreshments are provided.

Anantara Kihavah Villas relies on Manta Air seaplanes for resort transfers. These seaplanes stand among the latest models in the Maldives and operate on a predetermined schedule, minimizing waiting times for guests.

Once aboard the seaplane, the flight should last around 35 minutes; however, transfers might take a bit longer if the plane is making stops to drop off guests at other resorts in the Baa Atoll along the way.

Seaplanes make a water landing just off Anantara Kihavah. Upon arrival, you will disembark onto the floating seaplane platform and then transfer to a speedboat for a brief journey before taking your first steps on the island. The resort staff will be on hand to assist guests and manage luggage throughout the process.

Option 2 - Domestic Transfer to Anantara Kihavah

With seaplanes only flying during daylight hours, you may have no choice but to take a domestic flight to your destination.

The closest airport to Anantara Kihavah is located on the island of Dharavandhoo. The recommended local airline is Manta Air, known for its regular flights to Dharavandhoo using air-conditioned ATR72-600 turboprop aircraft, recognized for their low greenhouse gas emissions and exceptional fuel efficiency.

The flight is a brief, direct journey with no stops, taking approximately 20 minutes. Upon reaching the local airport island, guests will then transfer to a speedboat for a 30-minute ride to their ultimate destination - Anantara Kihavah.
